Mike Pence heading to Florida vacation island

One week after Election Day, Vice President Mike Pence appears ready to take some time off.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, Pence is scheduled to travel to Sanibel, Florida, Tuesday through Saturday. Pence has vacationed on the island along Florida’s Gulf Coast several times previously. Pence’s office didn’t immediately comment on the trip on Monday.

The trip comes as President Donald Trump has pledged to continue trying to contest the outcome of the election and as President-elect Joe Biden is ramping up his transition efforts.

Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris are being briefed virtually on the coronavirus pandemic by a task force of experts their transition team announced Monday.

12. Poop! We're supposed to be down in that area in a few weeks

to visit with my FIL. He has Alzheimer's and has been recovering from a nasty cut on his leg with an infection that has not been responding to varying tiers of treatment. Family (MIL, SIL) down there are being tested before we leave here, we're doing the same. Plans are to drive straight through, we'll pack our travel food in a cooler, and only make bathroom stops. When we have to stop to stretch our legs, we'll stop in remote areas not near people.

Hope Pence and his entourage don't create more of a spike in the that area.

investigations into Trump, as well as the state investigations. If Trump resigned on the 19th, Pence takes over as 46 and pardons Trump of all federal crimes. Pence gets to play President for the day.
