It's beginning to look like we will be effectively without a president until inauguration day.

All we have is a lame duck president wallowing in self pity and an absentee vice president who, as far as I can tell, never did a damn thing anyway.

FYI - they’ve known that WH understaffing was going to require immediate action
I read this over the weekend. The Biden team (and everyone) knew that the WH is drastically understaffed due to turn over rate so they needed to get ahead of the game in terms of vetting and hiring. The staff that is there is 3rd string at best too.

Team Biden had to finish the campaign and plan on making up for lost time as soon as possible just for daily operations type stuff.

at the conclusion that ignorance of most of the possible disasters was bliss. That didn't keep me from turning on the TV every morning for months to reassure myself that we hadn't murdered thousands of people overnight. I finally guessed he was afraid consequences to himself of "fire and fury like the world has never seen." Hitler and Stalin wouldn't bother to eat him for breakfast, just let underlings despose of him.

In spite of his massive incompetence, though, his power, his narcissistic rages and his capacity for enormous cruelty and vindictiveness are all too real.

Deep breath. If it seems necessary, Biden, and McConnell and co also, are a position to make him offers he should accept and that could do a lot to calm his fear if honored. I don't think they can do anything that will calm his rage, though. Everyone has betrayed him, including his base. His ego demands revenge. His cowardice and incompetence are his only limits.

at various Trump properties around the country, bilking the American taxpayer for as much as he can possibly can, then thanklessly and ungraciously sneaking out the back door without ever acknowledging President Biden and Vice-President Harris. That's just who he his, what he does, and nothing will ever change him. He's a total loser.

not participate in operation 'warp speed' or whatever the stupid trump program was called. Thus, they developed the 90% effective vaccine using their own funds. And of course pence tried to take credit.
