Thing is, Trump really doesn't care about the Senate if he's not President

McConnell on the other hand certainly does.

I’m guessing he’s banking on the Trump cult to save him in Georgia.

Which means he has to kiss Trump’s ass in substantiating Trump’s fairy tale of voter fraud.

Problem is, the crazier Trump’s claims are, the more it hurts everyone associated with him.

But McConnell can’t back out and it might end up bringing both of the bastards down.

Which would be absolutely delightful and delicious on all fronts.

Either that, or Trump just tried some crazy coup shit.

trump is trying to take the government by force and mcconnell does want to keep a republican majority.

he's never been anything but party over country.

it could also be that he's cool with trump stealing it, because his main goal in life is permanent minority rule. in other words, he's no more committed to democracy than trump is. or putin is.

Without MAGA's showing up to vote, Mitch will lose. I still think we will have the Senate.

McConnell is worried that without Trump, his supporters aren't going to show up, while Trump couldn't give a damn about the Senate at this point unless he can reverse the election. However, McConnell just doesn't have the money to pour into both the GA elections and Trump's legal actions / legal defense fund, and it's likely that most GOP contributors aren't going to pour money into either without significant quid pro quo.
