Proposal to Administrators: Put the DU ActBlue link to Ossoff, Warnock & Fair Fight on the home page

Administrators: There is a DU ActBlue link that gives donations directly to Ossoff, Warnock, and Stacy Abrams' Fair Fight. How can we make it so this link is always visible from the DU home page for everyone, every time they sign on?

I made thousands of dollars of donations this election cycle, but I made very few through the DU ActBlue page, because it just wasn't there in front of me when I donated, so I just went directly to ActBlue.

I'm also promoting this because there will be many groups promoting donations to this cause, but the DU page goes directly to Ossoff, Warnock, and Fair Fight with no bites taken out; no delay; except for the ActBLue tip. So, how can we make this happen?

And I don't know if this would be technically possible given your site's capabilities, but I'd even advocate it being a pop-up "roadblock" ad that appears each time someone visits the site (one of those ads where you have to click "go to site" in order to progress past it). Normally, this sort of thing would be annoying on a website, but I'm pretty sure 99.999% of DU users would be ecstatic to have this functionality added through January 5th, knowing that it'll likely generate a ton of donations to a cause we all feel strongly about.

Visible, accessible, with the donation amount thermometer & printed donation total; but not as "in your face" as a forced link to access the DU site.

I am fearful that more money will not really help. Biden and Democrats took in many millions of dollars, and still lost Representatives and disastrously in state legislatures. More money than Republicans resulted in what Trump called "a waste of money."

I understand that money buys TV ads and 'ground game'.

But the glaring evidence is that money did not win the elections. (Lack of money may lose elections, but that is different.)

We need a better way to win elections.

Reagan promoted the meme that you can't solve problems by throwing money at them. This was wrong wrt infrastructure, education, many social issues.

I contributed several thousand dollars via ActBlue and mostly it was a "waste of money". Where did it go? Into some small salaries for workers; mostly to media outlets. One of the ironies is that Republican-controlled media get the richer, the more ActBlue raises.

I note a profound insight from an expert: "Early money screams, late money whispers". This encapsulates that 'early on' advisors can define the issues and develop the effective memes. Later, the only memes are those your opponent put out. Values win elections, and fears.

The insights of Lakoff about mentioning an elephant has not been absorbed by Democratic candidates.

We need a better way to win elections. Money is obviously not the answer.

except this post under General Discussion. I'm on a PC; what's visible on my home page may be different from what's visible on yours.

Omaha Steve posted about the new GA fundraising group recently but it's now dropped off as far as I see.
