Georgia Special Election 1/5/21: Soon to be 18yo and Mail ins

Soon to be 18 will be able to vote means that Georgia residents who are currently 17 years old — but will turn 18 by the time of the run-off election — will have the opportunity to participate!

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/06/georgia-run-off-election-gives-soon-to-be-18-year-olds-the-to-vote.html

It appears early voting is possible, though there was some concern that the Georgia Special Senate vote was in person 1/5/21 only-if that is the case please advise.

-Candidates in the runoff will face another election on January 5, 2021.

-Voters can request and absentee ballot now. Those ballots won't be sent out in the mail until after Nov. 18.

-The deadline to register to vote for the runoff is December 7.

-Early voting for the runoff will begin on December 14, 2020

Calling voters to help them cure their ballots. You can also sign up to post information on social media.

Go to [link:http://www.georgiademocrat.org| and follow the "volunteer" button to (I think) "vote protection." You'll find the ballot cure team.

From there, you have to sign up for a 4 hour shift to enroll. I just put mine far enough out that I'll have time for training, etc. The return e-mail said they'd be in touch about training soon.

Of course, if you have a bunch of money to contribute, instead, that would be very helpful.
