https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/12/business/gun-sales-joe-biden/index.htmlNew York (CNN Business)Joe Biden's projected White House win could boost gun sales in what has already been a landmark year for gun makers.
"The election of a Democratic president who has promised to tighten gun control legislation could very well prompt increased demand for firearms," says Rommel Dionisio, managing director of Aegis Capital.
Biden has long been vocal on the issue of gun control. The former vice president has said gun manufacturers are "the enemy" of the Democratic party's gun control efforts. His campaign website calls for a ban on manufacturing and future sales of assault weapons like the AR-15, a position he has maintained since a string of high-profile mass shootings in 2019.
Dionisio says gun owners' fears of Democrats passing gun control legislation fuels a predictable surge in sales before and after elections.

(33,284 posts)they've already got all the guns they'll ever need.
No one is doing shit about guns in the next 2, 4, or 10 years; the goose is cooked. The NRA won. We all get to live in fear of the American Taliban deciding to launch an insurgency.

(19,264 posts)That was the talking point for 8 years. For fuck sake how many times does it take before they go "hey wait a minute last time they said they were going to ban all the guns and they never did".

(10,157 posts)More than enough for every person in the US. And Ill bet people that are buying guns now are not first time buyers. I just dont understand why anyone needs multiple guns. I guess if you were really a hunter you might have 2 or 3 but many people could arm a small army...I guess that might be the point.

(8,329 posts)The guns went faster than toilet paper in the Trump Administration. No Guns, No Ammo, No Lysol, no TP, no paper towels, no Clorox, no rubbing alcohol, no chicken, no meat......Jesus, Trump has turned us into an 80's era soviet bloc country...

(8,329 posts)That was over 10 presidential elections ago. Democratic Presidents Bill Clinton, nor Barak Obama took my guns away, Tip O'Neill, Jim Wright, Tom Foley, Nancy Pelosi as Speakers did not take my guns away. Senate leaders Byrd, Mitchell, Daschle and Reid did not take my guns away. There was some common sense gun legislation passed by come combinations of them, but sorry Republican fear mongers, no gun grabbing. Nearly 40 years later the same guns, plus a couple others that were given to me when my uncle passed away still sit locked up in a Liberty Safe that I bought in 1995. Prior to that they had master trigger locks on them but once my Uncle passed and there were 5 guns, the responsible thing to do was get a safe.
Again, no gun grabbing.......I don't get it.
