What Arizona Means

Driving around nice neighborhoods in Phoenix, it was startling to see the Biden signs everywhere. I only saw a couple of Trump bumper stickers. Many of my Republican friends went Trump this year. Yeah, the election was close, but you could feel how different AZ was this cycle. I think I know why the state felt so blue.

What the pundits don't talk too much about is that we already went through our Trumpism dalliance in AZ. Sheriff Joe lead the charge with his immigration roundups. The old Maricopa County Attorney Andy Thomas was MAGA before that term existed. He literally arrested judges, the press and political rivals. Russell Pearce in the Senate got AZ 1070 passed. We lived Trump already, people hated it, and it turned the state blue.

If Arizona serves as a guide, there still is hope for this nation. It took a long time for Arizona to come around. It still isn't perfect by any stretch. But we all got a good taste of racism and conservative lunacy over here, and we rejected it.

I've been waiting and waiting for this day. It's been brutal here. Arizona just put the nail in the coffin for Trump. Nevada and AZ get Biden home. If the country follows Arizona's example, the people will just move on.

Kind of like having the antibodies to fight one bloated jagoff helped fight off another bloated jagoff

Arizona kept me sane and gave me hope on election night when Florida turned sour. I figured if we can win Arizona we can hold the blue wall with Arizona as a padding. Georgia was a pleasant surprise.

Maricopa county went for Biden by about 400 votes.

To me the most prominent difference was the "Republicans for Biden" who spent real money with electronic billboards next to the freeways.

Donald Trump running for President in 2024 is the best thing that could happen to Democrats in Arizona.

They're Republicans who first rejected T and then embraced him for winning. I think they like Arizona, but must be confused about the move.

That being said, I've had a whole different experience than you. In my area of the valley it's tRumper haven. I have a big, ugly tRump flag looming over my backyard from the next door neighbor's house. Their front yard has a regular size tRump sign but then about a week before the election they added a jumbo sign. Another neighbor still has his 4 tRump signs and flag up. While the two neighbors across from him have already removed their Biden signs...they know they made their point. Hopefully I won't be seeing anymore trucks with tRump flags hanging off of them.

Anyway, I am sooo glad Joe Biden took AZ and so did Mark Kelly! Motha McSlimeball needs to go crawl back under her rock.

in a month of Sundays. Your post hits exactly the right note.
We've got a lot of work to do to pull this thing out of the ditch .... But there's a lot of people that don't really want to be in the ditch. And that represents progress.

we need to get control of the legislature and the governorship again.

Arizona is a purple state with an infrared state government.
