To be fair, the Senate was never supposed to be democratic or based on population. It was supposed to give small states more say. By design.

The house, otoh... it’s supposed to be more the voice of the people. But it hasn’t kept up with population trends or patterns. There really should be more House Seats added, many in high population areas, and an end to gerrymandering. That would actually help some with Electoral College issues as well if we can’t get rid of it altogether.
