Trump would have nothing to do with any court appointments there, and he can't issue any pardons. The federal system (SDNY) has more than 40 judges, most of whom have been there since before Trump.
And since Federal judges are appointed for life, they don’t have to cater to the President that nominated them. In fact, Trump-appointed Judges have sometimes ruled against Trump.
