The Joint Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies is responsible for several of the events surrounding the inauguration (including the actual swearing in).

People have been going to restaurants for months and been fine, as long as safety protocols are followed. Masks into and out of the seating area, tables are well-spaced, proper ventilation or outdoors, servers are masked.

Let's stop being so alarmist.

From all over the country -- including states with very high infection rates. Many states are increasing prevention measures or even resuming lockdowns. What was OK a month ago, or even 2 weeks ago, is no longer IK.

Members-elect are now picking up their boxed meals and departing the Capitol. There is no group dinner. Members-elect are in DC already for orientation.
