Besides, it's easy to blather about it.
Doing it is work, now that he's damaged goods. You know how he is to work as oil is to water.

(182 posts)After starting his own media outlet or co-opting an existing one he will be pushing one of his favored offspring. I've read he actually despises Don Jr. but he (Jr.) bears the same (brand) name so may give the nod to him. Would love to hear a journalist ask Pence if he will be willing to run as Don Jr.'s VP. The look on Pence's face would be priceless!

(19,558 posts)Which was what the 2016 one was supposed to be, but people are freaking really stupid in this country and it stuck.

(2,146 posts)He basks in the adoration of the cult. I can picture him declaring just so he can hear the faithful roar.
He's a con, and if someone offers to donate to a 2024 run, he certainly wouldn't turn the campaign money down as long as he can help himself to the till.
But I don't think for one minute he will seriously make a run. Throw red meat to the cult, grift, yes, but with four years of legal woes along the way (which reminds me, were there still some sealed indictments out there from the investigations his henchmen killed, filed before the axe fell?), IMO he's not running again with any intention of winning

(8,694 posts)And dont think his kids will either. When hes gone the floodgates will open, revealing his corruption, possibly treason, the kids too. I think we will be shocked at what we find.

I would feel sorry for the others in that gang. Trump would swindle every penny of prison allowance from all of them.
Good graphic, thanks!

(4,607 posts)This whole thing was supposed to be a brand-building exercise so he could negotiate a bigger tv contract.
Once he won, suddenly he was stuck going full throttle for four years to avoid looking like a loser and a quitter.

(32,626 posts)except from the law. Can't imagine where he'll go, what he'll do. The idea of him getting away scot-free with all that he has to have stolen, isn't right.

He may create his own anti-GOP group, knowing that he probably could not win another nomination.

(50,528 posts)The biggest problem Trump has is it takes a Ph.D. in Chaos Theory to figure out what the hell the man is going to do from one minute to the next. The business community relishes stability and Trump can't provide it.
I think the GOP will inform Mr. Trump they're going to hand-carry the opposition research files they have on him to the FBI if he attempts to run in 2024.

If he runs it will only be to pad the profits. He will drop out before the RNC convention OR might even run indy. But he drops before primaries.
