We wouldn't want our feline friends to lead a rebellion in the middle of a pandemic.

I do need to get some more toilet paper though. I have a dozen rolls of the inferior stuff, but I want to step up to a decent two-ply.

Even alcohol and Clorox wipes. Don’t know how they do it, but I found out early on during the pandemic that they were the best at staying reasonably stocked. They carry Charmin. I didn’t go to them before the pandemic hit, but went out of desperation as my TP and paper towels ran out and Publix and Walmart were wiped out. I now meet my needs for TP, paper towels, alcohol, dish detergent and bleach at DG, I have even found a really good brand of Vienna Fingers cookies stocked there, I like those because they are not too sweet. Most of their stuff seems to be crap, but the things that brought me into them are quality products, national brands.

I get an off brand of clumping litter which is typically both less expensive and normally in stock, as most people get the name brands.
With four cats, it's a big order, so I typically do auto ship twice a month so as not to break the poor delivery person's back... 2 ea 40 lb bags.
Plus a case of their favorite gushy food.
Keeps them happy.

My husband is high risk, so I try to be as safe as possible. The last time I was in a store was in August. I politely asked a young woman to please pull up her mask so I could safely pass by her. She yelled "Fucking BITCH!" and quickly strode over to cough right in my face. Fortunately, I was wearing both a mask and a face shield that day. I reported her to management, but who knows if they did anything. I haven't set foot in any place of business since that day. It's just not worth the risk.

5. Target has a 50% off BOGO sale on cat litter and dry dog and cat food, all brands in-store or pickup
Sun Nov 15, 2020, 06:52 AM
Nov 2020

The sale starts today. I had already placed an online order of all 3 things for drive-up pickup tomorrow just before I saw this post. The sale is good on all brands they carry in the store, and all sizes. So, buy two and one is half off. It's a good deal and they are probably stocked up for the sale, but if there's a run on cat litter, I suggest doing it today!

Two other things: 1) A great place to shop for toilet paper and paper towels is Office Depot. They have good sale prices regularly. You can buy online and they will deliver for free (sometimes there is a minimum order amount) or cheap (like $5-ish). 2) If you can shop Amazon Fresh in your area, look for cleaning supplies there. This is the ONLY place I've been able to find Clorox Wipes, and Lysol Wipes and Spray. They only let you buy one at a time, but if they have, for instance, different sizes and scents, you can get one of each variety. You might have to be a Prime member to shop there (can't remember), and there's a $35 minimum to get free delivery ($4.99 otherwise). If they have any of these items in stock, I just buy some groceries, too, to reach $35.

Hope this helps some!

Great service. I was absolutely shocked when 2/3 of the order arrived on my porch the next day - before the PayPal payment had cleared my bank account - and the rest of the order arrived a few days later. I ordered enough to get free shipping and it turned out the cat food was 4 cents a can less than at the store. I know I sound like a planted Chewy commercial, but it's the best service I've gotten anywhere - online or off - in years.

It's not hoarding to buy the toilet paper you know you're going to need ahead of foreseeable shortages. and everyone had months to do so.

Civic responsibility starts with taking care of self; and the more who take care of themselves, the stronger and more resilient whole societies are. The more who fail, the weaker.

Just maybe people who are making sure they'll be able to keep their asses clean are not the assholes here.

I’m well stocked through January at least. I won’t go to Costco between now and then, but Costco being out is a sign that folks are starting to hit those supplies.

And that’s sort of a good thing. It means folks are ready to hunker down again.

I was thinking maybe because the majority of the manufacturers of those products are much further east.
But, i thought about it & there are places that make cleaning products in California, Utah, & Arizona. And the active ingredient suppliers are on both sides of the Rockies.
And there are paper products plants in the northwest.
Wonder if your area just had an early adopter program for panic buying.

2 containers of Clorox Wipes and good hand sanitizer. Found good deals on meat and chicken, so re-stocked freezer after the fire in September. Not really doing anything out of the ordinary that I wouldn't do if I found a good deal on something normally. I did see posted on my local resident page, folks talking about shortages at Costco and Walmart- same issues at those stores at the beginning of the outbreak, so I don't bother with either. I always find bleach, a variety of disinfectants, and tp at our local Dollar Store... Also, Dollar always seems to have the thin pizza crust we love and canned chili.

Was able to get my usual kleenex, tp and paper towel, but supply was definitely lower than usual. I wonder how many Covid-denying maskholes are hoarding supplies, too? Because there’s no problem caused by refusing to wear a mask that can’t be fixed by having 5 cases of toilet paper in your garage.

2 of my kids have sensory issues and are very picky about foods.

So I can either go into the grocery store and load up on everything I’ll need for a week which will take a lot of stuff, or I can come in every other day. People need to pick their goddamn poison here with this pandemic you either don’t want people buying a bunch of stuff at once or you don’t want them in the store three times a week. Pick.

I go to the stores who sell their products to schools and government establishments. The containers are huge and last forever. The only thing that sucks is having to do the mixture with water yourself and have to buy new spray bottles once in awhile. I do still buy bleach for cleaning my toilet, floors, and cat pans and that seems to be scare again.
