Can you give me hope re: accountability?

Last edited Mon Nov 16, 2020, 10:21 AM - Edit history (1)

The blatant criminality and corruption coming out of this administration have been stunning for four years, and it seems to have accelerated in the last few weeks.

I can't imagine the new AG NOT going after (ie, pursuing justice) people in this administration. If they don't, this shit is normalized and most politicians will be tempted to do sketchy shit in the future if people aren't held accountable now. We know the GOP will get even worse, though that's almost unfathomable.

I know there are state charges that can be filed against Trump (and maybe his kids) once they're out of the White House, but more needs to be done to prevent the general public (well, half of us) from getting even more cynical about politics as they did after Watergate.

This is 100 times worse.

Please, please tell me someone reliable you follow is saying Trump and his minions will be charged with crimes. SOON. What is going on with his purge and putting loyalists into natsec and intel positions is beyond alarming.

Surely, surely, surely there are people in high positions, with power and influence, who won't let this be normalized.

Surely?

Watch what happens after January 20. She's going after him in spades. Count on it. Then, I would venture to guess that since he will not be ruining media everyday with some damnable lie or another, his mouth breathing minions will have to focus their pea sized brains elsewhere. We've come this far, another 67 days and we're golden.

If the people they've served so badly won't hold them accountable, there is no hope, even as the drumpf family faces prison.

I fully expect the AG to prosecute this entire administration. Also, the 80 worthless Republicans that had ample opportunity to end this disaster.

I'd rather he be sent to a hospital where Nurse Ratched can give him the care he needs for the rest of his life.

The masses increasingly feel despair and cynicism when we see blatant corruption without justice.

To me it really is about justice, which lays the groundwork for the future. Revenge feels much more petty and transactional.

I want this administration to prove to the American people that NO ONE is above the LAW. If they do that, we will sweep the midterms. JMO
