For all his lies & failures of omission & commission (too many to recount; not the purpose of this post), George W. Bush handled the transition to the Obama administration in the same smooth, time-honored manner as his father (who had been defeated) & all his predecessors (as far as I'm aware). To be sure, W. presided over a failed presidency (and how!), but he doesn't deserve to be called a disgraced former president.
Trump, by acting exactly in defeat as most (all?) DUers & others predicted -- & we're still in the early stages, oy -- has earned himself the adjective forever applied to so many politicians who resigned for criminal or ethical breaches: Disgraced.
If Anthony Weiner, e.g., will always be known as "disgraced ex-congressman Anthony Weiner," Donald Trump should suffer the same fate.
Will it happen? Not in the current boiling cauldron, but farther along, I believe history will regard 45 as "disgraced."

(38,365 posts)...In no way shape or form, do we want our product... to be associated with Donald Trump...
While many associate Trump with our favorite...it really isn't fair to "s**t. And the reason is that
s**t has a use, and Donald Trump has no use at all.
S**t has been used to fertilize ground for many years, and it has other uses too. And further, S**t is not new, and has been around for ages. Let us not degrade this useful commodity...and if you have
gotten this far, I will commend you because most readers give up after the first sentence. I often try
to be funny and the great majority of the time those efforts fall flat....
Thank You for reading this because our Association needs all the support it can get,
given that S**t is still S**t no matter how you define it and it still stinks as it always have..

(25 posts)....beyond 'disgraced.'
If Trump makes it into history books as anything but 'a traitor,' who ended up in jail, we will have lost the narrative.
No figure in American history has been more despicable.
If Joe McCarthy, Father Coughlin, and Roy Cohn are pariahs, then Trump must take his place w. them, since he swiped all their tricks.
