Trump Fumes Biden Will Get Credit for Vaccine
November 17, 2020 at 10:35 pm EST By Taegan Goddard

“As prospects for an effective vaccination for the coronavirus have improved for the coming year, Donald Trump has grown outwardly resentful that he won’t be in the Oval Office to take the credit for it,” the Daily Beast reports.

“The president had said he envisioned large, public, mask-free events—particularly when the weather grew warmer in, what he anticipated to be, a second term—and rallies to celebrate the successes of Operation Warp Speed, the public-private partnership to develop a vaccine. When distribution began, Trump had wanted to be directly involved in the vaccine’s promotion, gaming out a video campaign about the safety and success of his operation.”

Possibly endangering millions of lives. Because he wants “credit”.

Biden has a plan to stop the virus. He DESERVES all the goddamn credit. If trump had followed Obama’s plan in the first place, we wouldn’t be in this mess.

In the U.S., as well as in many other nations.

And as deaths of people and businesses soared in the U.S., Trump very belatedly realized it WAS about HIM.

Modern pharma created miracles in spite of him. With death sweeping the globe, advances that normally take years, even decades, were brought about in less than a year. By THEM. Government money for development was welcome but not necessary. Pfizer, for instance, chose to take none because Trump couldn't be trusted.

slashes to "big government" funding for medical research. Including to Ebola research as that was becoming a global health priority and later arrived in the U.S. Clinton/Gore boosted medical research funding that was later slashed also. Of course and of course.

Trump AND DC Republicans refused to act to stop or limit spread from then to now, didn't just not act. Blocked action. In May, at the height of the first wave of deaths and economic devastation, Trump announced the government would start supporting development of a vaccine.

Nearly 2 decades ago, Senator Richard Burr chaired the intelligence committee when it developed legislation for a plan to stop pandemic disease from devastating America. Spurred by the very successfully contained but lethal SARS1 virus. Last winter when SARS2 arrived on our shores, he sold stock, warned donors to expect problems with the economy, and told the public it was nothing more than a cold.

Meanwhile, Biden is being blocked, vindictively by sociopath tRump, from accessing information and services to do effective planning for distribution.

Even someone in HHS that was ambivalent about doing it, might do it as a middle finger to Wolf's directive.
What are they going to do, fire them for 67 days? Day one, Biden orders them reinstated.

Trump will be remembered for pushing Republicans into the "just ignore it and let people die" approach. He and his Republican governors and others who didn't enforce mask wearing will be remembered the same way. They let a biological enemy attack the United States and and kill people and pretended it wasn't happening...just to try for better election results for themselves. That's the way it looks to me.
