So, on what rationale does trump NOT get arrested the day after his inauguration?
Remember that Michael Cohen went to jail for breaking Federal election laws? Remember that "Individual-1" was a co-conspirator?
I imagine that trump's defense would be that he never instructed Cohen to pay off Stormy Daniels. But what objective person would ever believe that?

2. Has a handy-dandy federal pardon
from himself and possibly Pence.
State crimes on the other hand. |

3. the problem we face with state crimes is a conservtive supreme court could rule that
state crime charges that parallel federal crimes that are "pardoned" are in essence double jeopardy and can not be prosecuted at state level. This is a real possibility

6. In 2019 the court ruled in favor of separate sovereigns
Which means federal charges and state charges do not risk double jeopardy. The court ruled 7-2, with RBG and Gorsuch dissenting, that separate sovereigns does not violate double jeopardy.
This is the DU member formerly known as Coleman.

7. What if they rule that way but NY still refuses to let him go?
Who's going to enforce their ruling?
This is how the Republicans are operating now. What if we started acting that way too? |

10. The only reason is for the country's image
We cannot be seen as jailing political leaders so the federal government should lay off.
On the other hand, state crimes are a different issue and godspeed if NY files an indictment and arrests Trumpty Dumpty. |
