I'm getting an ulcer over this crap! Especially with that Emily Murphy woman.

(52,126 posts)We have the house, that won't happen.
It would delay things, though, and be more fodder for their I wuz robbed fantasies.

(3,836 posts)obviously lied when she swore her Oath of Office. There has got to be a consequence for taking the Oath and then ignoring it. She signed it too and is not complying as she promised to do.
Surely she can at least be summoned to Congress to tell the truth about why she won't sign the papers. Oh, wait, she is trump's toady so if he says she can't comply with the summons from Congress, she won't do it.
No Rule of Law whatsoever for trump & his corrupt toadies.
I am sick of it too.
Sick at heart.

(51,568 posts)and that is what the GOP is holding over her head? I read something that made the story seem like unless she did so-and-so than she wouldn't get a particular position someplace? I know it was completely crooked and I was appalled that this was allowed to go on in the first place. It is so transparent and against the country's interest.

(3,836 posts)in regards to a position. She is apparently looking for a job. She knows she is out when trump is out... most likely she believes trump will take care of her, boy is that a laugh. Maybe if she looked more like Ivanka.. who knows?
It is clear that her Loyalty Oath to donnie is far more important to her than the Oath she took when she got the GSA job

(3,635 posts)and the GOP can't do anything to stop it. Even if there is ongoing frivolous lawsuits etc the states will still certify.
It will likely end on Dec 8th, the 'safe harbor' date when the states have to be certified, ahead of the Electoral College vote on Dec 14th.

(51,568 posts)Doesn't the GOP own several of them? Aren't they protecting themselves? The Congress and Senate fell to tRump (who knows why, maybe blackmail or $$$). How are the states bound to the electors in 2020?

As for your impending ulcer, tell it to chill and pour yourself a drink. This is Reuters's headline"
This is their last paragraph:

Trump's/GOP's lies have had a pernicious effect, but the GOP couldn't turn 28%, a third of whom probably don't believe that, into a putsch.
Btw, it's likely the GOP screwed themselves in 2016 by causing too much attention, public and intelligence services, on this election for them to be able to carry out their usual election thefts. That very functional attention continues. The GOP needed to steal the election BEFORE the election results revealed that Biden is our president-elect. Not after.

(54,302 posts)It will coincide, miraculously enough, with an emergency golf appointment that Trump has at some property of his in some place without an extradition treaty.

(5,554 posts)fewer Republican officials are sticking their necks out to support his challenges. Fewer are making statements in support.
In a week or so, as results are certified and Trump will have failed to deliver the proof he promised, it will just be the Trump campaign and his tiny cadre of zealots making noise.
