Newsmax host calls for a new MAGA party to overthrow and replace GOP. - "A party of ideas."

https://www.rawstory.com/2020/11/newsmax-host-calls-on-trump-supporters-to-overthrow-gop-and-form-maga-party/

Newsmax host Greg Kelly is calling on conservative Trump supporters to overthrow the Republican Party by forming a new MAGA-inspired political party.

During his Wednesday evening segment of Greg Kelly Reports, he encouraged his viewers to distance from both the Democratic and Republican Parties as he claimed they are not “cutting it.” Kelly went on to pitch idea of possibly forming a Make America Great Again (MAGA) political party.

...

The “party,” he said, would focus on the Constitution and place an emphasis on “canceling” the so-called “deep state.”

He added, “The ‘MAGA Party’ — a party about ideas, the Constitution, opportunity, liberty,” Kelly said. “Term limits, the Second Amendment, and canceling … the deep state and the federal bureaucracy.”

I, for one, think that term-limits are a fantastic idea.

Term-limits for SCOTUS-judges.

Applied retroactively.

That would be amazing, it gives republicans a way to come back from the brink, and ensures that the MAGAs will never be much more than a blip in history.

It was called the Know-Nothing Party (which pretty well describes MAGATs...), and it soon sank into the La Brea Tar Pits of politics.

So shall it be again...

When comparing the US parties to the parties in other countries:
* The Democrats are moderate right-wing to moderate left-wing.
* The Republicans are far right-wing.

The US doesn't even have an actual far left. When people call Bernie Sanders a socialist or far left, that's wrong: In Germany he would be a run-of-the-mill moderate left social-democrat.

Agree. In the U.S. the "far left" has been smeared and demonized virtually out of existence by the "far right"/Republican predatory capitalists. As early as the 70s-80s it looked to me like the GOP was doing all they could to keep their flock looking inward and self-centered and thus keep them in the dark about what life was like in other countries. That also helps to explain their hostility to public education.

say a damn thing about the constitution. The last four years have proven what we have also known about republicans and the constitution. Their claims of being protector of the constitution are pure bullshit.
