What's really infuriating is, from all available evidence, Trump doesn't even want to BE president

HE JUST DOESN'T WANT TO BE SEEN AS A LOSER! . . .

but looking at the past 3.9 years, he has little if any interest in carrying out the responsibilities of the office . . .

he seldom (if ever) reads his daily briefings . . . in fact, he apparently won't (or can't) read anything longer than 140 characters . . .

he doesn't address critical national issues like pandemics . . . he'd rather just unilaterally declare them not worthy of his attention . . . he often doesn't even attend meetings of the do-nothing Covid task force . . .

the only public events he attends are rallies focusing on him . . . well, he did place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier . . . which represents all those suckers and losers whose remains couldn't be identified . . .

he calls opponents, either real or imagined, vile names (crazy Nancy, slow Joe, etc.), language well beneath the dignity of the office . . .

he apparently spends most (if not all) of his time watching Fox news and tweeting . . . and all those tweets are nothing but lies and more disparaging remarks about anyone who disagrees with him or (God forbid) disobeys him . . .

and since November 3, he has embarked on a crusade to thoroughly disrupt the entire federal government . . . the body of which he is supposed to be chief executive officer . . .

and possibly worst of all, he is consciously trying to subvert the democratic process that has served this country well for over two centuries . . . not so he can remain president, but so he won't be seen as a loser . . .

the rest of the world is either laughing at us or pitying us . . . it's all quite pathetic, really . . . and a real danger to both our national security and out continuation as a democracy . . .. government of the people, by the people and for the people, which I pray is not in the process of perishing from the face of the Earth . . .

I know this isn't the most articulate post, but I'm just angry tonight and had to get it off my chest . . . you think maybe if we stopped calling him a loser and just referred to him as a non-winner he might shut the fuck up? . . .

He had all the power in the world to do good. And he didn't. He not only lost the Presidency. He failed it.

he doesn't like the work that goes with it. He hates giving up Air Force One and the motorcades.

Or, make that - he NEEDS that attention. Other than that, you are right. I think he hates the job and all that pesky work that comes with it.

"wanting power" tends to mean you want to actually do something with that power.

really the only thing he wants is to be adored and praised and treated like he's the most powerful person on the planet. he doesn't really want to use power for anything beyond securing that status and stamping out criticism.

all the crap he does, it's really about protecting his status.
