Chris Hayes pointed out that Wed was the anniversary of the Jonestown Massacre. Over 900 died.

Also on Wed, some 2000 Americans died of COVID-19 -- more than twice the casualties of Jonestown.

We're suffering TWO JONESTOWNS EVERY DAY, and will continue to do so EVERY DAY for at least the next two months at an ABSOLUTE minimum -- at least 120 JONESTOWNS, and certainly many more. This maladministration is doing NOTHING to prevent a single death that wouldn't have been done without it.

And the GOP is fine with that, just so long as we don't make the petulant man-baby infesting the Oval Office angry. History can not damn the power-hungry authoritarianism of the Senate Uglicans strongly enough, ever.

Once the President-Elect turns the CDC and the *real* experts loose to show how it should be done, and infections decline, maybe people's heads will clear a little bit and they'll wonder why, if it was that obvious, it wasn't done earlier, before so many lives were lost or ruined. And there will be no good answer.
