I read a brilliant analysis on the state of play in the US and have come to the conclusion

that the Constitution is being subverted by billionaires, corporations and their political tools.
To stop this punishment will have to be severe. I can't post it because it's a pdf I received via email.

so wealthy that they're inimical to democracy. It's them or us.

She's hardly alone in believing we must do it before they destroy us, and is in fact quoting Justice Louis Brandeis from the last time we let ourselves get in this kind of mess.

She is, though, the only speaker of the house who said so to the nation in her speech opening the 116th session of congress. Which -- very strangely - neither the MSM nor the noisy far-left wannabe class warriors ever mention. For their own different reasons.

As in our grandparents' time, who also left it until almost too late, it's OUR job, the Democratic Party's, to lead and make it happen. We're the only ones who can. Obama started, and now we start again with whatever power the electorate gives us.
