Trump was supposed to be announcing new rules on drug prices, but he claimed that Big Pharma and the media conspired against him in the election.


Trump said:

Big Pharma ran millions of dollars of negative advertisements against me during the campaign. Which I won, by the way. We will find that out. Almost 74 million votes. We had Big Pharma against us and the media and big tech against us. We had a lot of dishonesty against us. Big Pharma alone ran millions of dollars of ads. I said who is it? I have never seen anything like it.

I told them I will have to do this. I was put here to do a job. Pfizer and others were way ahead on vaccines. You would not have a vaccine if were not for me for another 4 years. The FDA would have never been able to do what they did. What I forced them to do. Pfizer and others even decided to not assess the results of their vaccine, to not come out with a vaccine until just after the election. That’s because of what I did with favored nations and these other elements.

Trump’s comments match up with Rudy Giuliani’s conspiracies and reports that the President is obsessed with the Dominion voting machines conspiracy theory. It is not difficult to understand why Trump lost. He is the first president in the history of polling to never have a single day with a 50% approval rating from a credible non-partisan poll.

17. Impeachment actually has a lower standard....

Impeachment only requires a simple majority in the house, and a 2/3 vote in the senate to convict.

The 25th can only be initiated by the vp, and has to be approved by a majority of the cabinet. Then, if the potus objects and says he/she is fit, it takes a 2/3 vote in both the house and senate to prevent him/her from regaining power. Also, there doesn't seem to be a limit on how many times a potus can make that petition, potentially tying congress up for months.

Impeachment and conviction can also prevent an individual from ever serving in any role in the gov't again by a simple majority after conviction.

VP and the Cabinet. Congress then would have to sustain it by 2/3rds in each House.

What we need is a functioning Senate where enough GOP Senators join the Democratic Senators for impeachment.

The messaging should be that everything he is doing now is an extension of the impeachment which never received a fair hearing in the Senate. They knew what they had and they would have had time to recover as a party before the General Election (as a side benefit - maybe the Executive might have done their job better on Covid).

Here and other places there is a comma before the "or". That means what is written before the comma is not included in "by force". Commas are very important. It is a comma in the 2nd Amendment that allows civilians to own guns.

Plus, Hillary would also have prompted vaccine makers to expedite the process, and would likely have had the CDC and FDA highly coordinated with the efforts instead of changing guidelines for political reasons.

Hasn't the Georgia hand recount completely destroyed Powell's argument?

If votes had been switched, the recount would have revealed it. I am not American (I am Finn living in Finland) and unfamiliar of your practices so bear with me.

In Georgia and elsewhere, don't the voting machines create paper copy of the vote?

And this paper ballot is then checked by voter and scanned? And if there were errors or votes switched, wouldn't the hand recount immediately revealed them when scanners and machines weren't used?

And Powell's argument was that "millions" of votes had been changed by George Soros and Venezuelan communists.

If this had happened, then the Georgia hand recount of these voter checked paper ballots would have revealed the discrepancies, right? And since there was no change in tally from the original result, isn't it the only possibility that this theory of votes switched is completely bonkers?

How is it possible this theory is still being presented by Trump supporters when it isn't even theoretically possible. Am I missing something or have people gone completely mad?
