Shenanigans going on everywhere
Wisconsin recount - trump observers objecting to everything and slowing down recount
Michigan - I dont trust the Michigan GOP, and trump was too calm with their Twitter responses...we know if they really rejected trump that he would be blasting them on Twitter
Pennsylvania - Pennsylvania GOP trying to throw out all absentee ballots
Arizona- governor talking about not certifying electors until all legal challenges are complete
Georgia trump will definitely request a recount and they will object to everything just like they are doing in Wisconsin

(32,606 posts)Plus if a state fails to certify, the entire state loses and the number of electors that state holds in deducted from the 270 total needed to win....just read the article

(34,302 posts)they will have no recourse. If the courts had been siding with them, that would be another matter.
Also, the NAACP and other plaintiffs have filed suits against some of the Trump attorneys, arguing they should be disbarred for filing frivolous lawsuits, etc. That will throw a monkey wrench in their shenanigans, as will the Congressional summoning of the GSA official to appear before the committee tomorrow. Trump has little power to protect such officials now, and only stupid officials believe otherwise.

(36,146 posts)Michigan legislature has nothing to do do with choosing electors. Leading Repubs in the state legislature say they can't because it's against state law.
Arizona governor has nothing to do with certifying the election in that state. That is the job of the Arizona SOS who does so in the presence of the governor.
"A. On the fourth Monday following a general election, the secretary of state, in the presence of the governor and the attorney general, shall canvass all offices for which the nominees filed nominating petitions and papers with the secretary of state pursuant to section 16-311, subsection E.
B. The secretary of state, in the presence of the governor and the chief justice of the supreme court, shall canvass all proposed constitutional amendments and initiated or referred measures, as shown by the certified copies of official canvass received from the several counties, and forthwith certify the result to the governor."

The Trump campaign has made several attempts to throw out absentee ballots in Pennsylvania courts and has lost.
