Republican lawmaker calls for Kyle Rittenhouse, who's on trial for murder, to be elected to Congress

A Republican lawmaker in Florida has been condemned after calling for Kyle Rittenhouse, a teenager charged with murder, to be elected to Congress.

Anthony Sabatini, who sits in the state’s House of Representatives, on Saturday tweeted, “KYLE RITTENHOUSE FOR CONGRESS”.

It came a day after Rittenhouse, 17, was granted bail after being charged with allegedly shooting dead two people and leaving a third paralysed in August during protests against police violence in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

He was released on Friday after posting a $2m (£1.5m) bond and is due back in court next month for a preliminary hearing.

that an elected official of ANY PARTY would suggest this (what were those voters thinking?) - or that there would be even one person that would support such an insane and offensive idea!

----but then again, BunkerBoy got elected, didn't he?

Is also very, very pro life and believes that abortion is murder. I guess that he doesn't believe that actual murder is murder, though.

Representatives must be at least 25 when they take office, specifies the Constitution. And by that time the lunatic right will have another "hero" to cheer on and Rittenhouse will be forgotten.
