Was not sure this was true. It WAS! Covid-19 in S. Dakota

I heard this on my car radio earlier today, wasn't sure if I heard it correctly, so I checked it out when I got back to my computer. And I found it. Source is the AP:

"Every year, an average of 48 FLU-related deaths are reported in South Dakota."

22 Nov 2020

“SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota health officials are reporting 42 deaths due to the coronavirus in the last day, lifting the state’s death toll to 819 since the start of the pandemic. There have been 404 virus fatalities in the state in the month of November.

South Dakota is having almost as many Covid-19 deaths per day as they have FLU-deaths in an entire year! And their Governor will not enforce a masking policy. "Freedumb!!!"

(S. Dakota reported it's first FLU-death today.)

3. Perhaps worth noting is the COVID deaths have mandatory reporting whereas the Flu likely doesn't

Possibly not apples-to-apples, for those interested in academic details of this nature

many good people. but one thing I can't help but notice is that there's a lot of religion there.
There are churches everywhere, in the few cities and in the countryside too. I wonder what
effect that has on their covid situation.
