Chump is trying to "Weimar" the incoming Dems
Chump is trying to leave the incoming Dems with a ruined country, out of control pandemic, wrecked economy, militarized factions, unemployment spiraling, sycophantic Quisling politicians, cheerleader right wing judiciary, a media that abets factionalism, and a large segment of the population that will follow a dictator.
We got the Presidency, but the fight remains.

1. And to Russia the spoils.
He did everything he could for russia. Too bad they're going to screw him anyway, but they're just like him.

2. Yes indeed
They're already planning their ambush/impeachment of President Biden and he hasn't been inaugurated yet. A new definition of "GOP sliminess" is hatching right now during this hiatus.

where Hitler goes to prison.
This time, we'll leave him there. |

4. Adding to that, all they are trying to accomplish right now
is sowing doubt regarding the legitimacy of the new President.
And they are constructing their own "Dolchstoßlegende" (conspiracy theory for the lost war). In their case it's the betrayal of the "real" America and a stolen election by the deep state and media. |

7. And there are those waiting to fight Biden for not fixing it right away, and
not immediately putting specific policies that they have been pushing for for decades out in front, despite the fact that McConnell is still able to stop most progress.
The GOP is counting on that. They will stoke it, just as they did in the primary. There were those in the GOP attacking Obama as incompetent on the economy just a month after legislation was passed to address the mess that Bush left, and they will do the same to Biden. There will be those complaining about why the new roof hasn't been started while the fire is still being put out, and how someone else would have had it done already. |

8. And yet. . .
Something tells me that the Biden administration will deal well with all of it. With a team of professionals, I am confident that whatever needs to be done to undo the damage will be done. I am also confident that Biden will deal with McConnell, if that's even necessary after the Georgia run-off.
Except maybe the pandemic. I'm sure they will do better than the trump regime, but it's still a stupendous challenge. He's also said no mask mandate, so there's that. Then we have places like the Dakotas, which have extreme rates of Covid. And many states are implementing travel bans, which is pretty much the equivalent of closing the barn door after the horses are out. It will be interesting to see how they approach this. |
