Was Parler a honey pot? I sure like the idea. It seems the sign up process called for SS#, driver license copies, etc.

I signed up for Parler in order to troll the cult members, and there was no requirement for SS number, driver license etc., just name and email address. Granted, there may be other Parler features that I cannot access which may require further ID info.

I would voluntarily give my ssn to. We give up a lot of personal info all the time... but if there were any point Parler was asking that, even for advanced features, that would be me noping out.

what they are talking about is people who want to be "verified" as members, need to provide
"a photo of themselves and a scan of the front and back of their government-issued photo identification to have their account verified by Parler."
according to Wiki.
