Mainly because of College Educated White Women. Non College White Women still went for Trump. And this is a Trend because it shows this group split between Obama and Romney in 2012 , increased for HIllary in 2016 and went even higher for Biden in 2020 . The increase includes the 2020 midterms. I would like to see a Similar poll showing White College Educated men to see how they voted through the past few elections. Non College white women still went for Trump in high numbers.
Article also shows Sexism was not as much an issue in this election as it was in 2016 (obviously) but that Racism was still a factor at similar levels to 2016 in how people voted.
This kind of fits with the comments I often see from White Women who say they were wrong about Hillary in 2016 and regret not giving her the support she deserved.

I use facts and they scream all the louder.

(16,783 posts)The ability to think is a powerful thing.
My parents, my College Professors, all encouraged me to read and THINK for myself. I have made some mistakes in my life I will carry with me, but to learn from them is what matters to not repeat them.
When it comes to the Trump cult, there is not a lot of thinking taking place when one allows themselves to be taken advantage of, and cries out for more. It boggles the mind.

(9,238 posts)65m voted by mail - They did telephone polling for that
35m voted in person, early - there were some on-location interviews, and some telephone polling
60m voted on the day - skewed towards trumpers - these got the traditional post voting interviews
cf - 2016 - 100% on election day interviews
THE NUMBERS CANNOT BE DIRECTLY COMPARED, AND IT IS DISHONEST TO PRETEND OTHERWISE

(4,463 posts)Women, college educated, and POC as a group , are saving this country. Thanks to all the men who also voted to do so. The question should be WTF is it that so many white men supported Trump?
That need addressed.
