Let's own some Republicans

After Biden takes office, maybe a week or so, perhaps he should claim vague illness and hand the reigns to VP Harris. Then President Harris after about another week does similar and hands the reigns to Nancy Pelosi. President Pelosi activates the National Guard across the country to help clean up the mess of millions of Trumpist's heads exploding. Now if only we could get Hilary in the line of succession, we could really have fun!

"EEEW" I don't want to own any Republicans! I don't want them in my house! I don't even want to keep them in a kennel in the back yard. I love my dog too much for that.

Then I read the body of your post and laughed.

The House can elect Hillary Speaker, there is no requirement for her to be a House Member to be the Speaker.

I did not think that could be a possibility that the Speaker of the House did not have to be a House member. So many important rules to know and so little time! Thanks again.

But the President has blown up so many traditions, why not blow one up on our side.

The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative; and until such enumeration shall be made, the State of New Hampshire shall be entitled to chuse three, Massachusetts eight, Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations one, Connecticut five, New-York six, New Jersey four, Pennsylvania eight, Delaware one, Maryland six, Virginia ten, North Carolina five, South Carolina five, and Georgia three.

Certainly any sense of "norms" has been blown up. I wonder if within the House rules, there is more on this subject. Never dug that deep before, may take a dive. Thanks again.

At the beginning of each Congress, the House passes a Rules package. Below is the link for the 116 Congress Rules package. Chairman McGovern is already working on the Rules for the 117 Congress.

Reminds me of a cannibal (since that's what they are currently accusing Democrats of being) joke where the punch line is:

"Do you have any idea how many right wingers it takes to get a pound of brains?"

I know you weren't serious, but why advocate the type of anti-democratic authoritarian coup that everyone was worried Trump would attempt? Just like the Trump scenario, I would hope the military would step in and arrest everyone involved in this overthrow of our government.

And that Hillary Clinton will become AG in a temporary capacity, to prosecute Trump. I haven't decided who will be head of the BATFE, but Justin Bieber is in the running... (I just don't know how such dastardly rumors get started. )
