Georgia Senate Runnoff observations

I live in South Carolina and our news feed all comes from Georgia. We are close to Savannah.

The ads on TV are contrasted by light and dark. The two republicans in the contest are all negative all the time. Not once do you hear about their aspirations of what they want to do in the Senate, just attack after attack on their opponents. This

On the Democratic side, they are mostly positive, mostly talking about whet they want to accomplish when elected and mostly positive messages.

Come to thanksgiving and both Ossoff and Warnock had messages of thankfulness and what thanksgiving means to them. From the right nothing but attacks.

And I repeated use of the word radical. I wonder what the record for use of one word in 60 seconds is, because these commercials could compete

Edit to add: and California is invading Georgia

Tubbyville constantly used lies and negativity in his ads. Our great Senator Doug used positive messages in his ads (for the most part).

And yet, the idiots here still gave the criminal quitter more than 60% of the vote because he has an R behind his name.

I sure hope Georgians can do better.

We saw what the outcomes there were. We'll need to look elsewhere for positive indicators I'm afraid.

P.S. Bring avocados and pistachios.

I've noticed the same in the ads. In particular, Rev. Warnock just comes off as a genuinely nicer person than Ms. Loeffler.

He came out with a great pre-emptive ad right after the election, featuring said puppy. I suspect this is his dog. You can see the ad, and the associated campaign that came with it here:

We boomerang between hopeful messages from Warnock (and his beagle!) and Ossoff and dark warnings of radical socialists from QAnon Barbie & Crooked Perdue.

My kid and I can’t get enough of “Raphael Warnock eats pizza with a fork and knife.”

NO ONE in Georgia is paying any attention to TV ads at this point, The runoff will be 100% based on the GOTV effort and on who registered NEW voters between Nov 4th an Dec 7th

I tried locating the ad to share here but was unwilling to watch all that hate to locate it.

But watching them by force on tv it stands out among the mismatches in the cuts to make it sound like the Democratic operatives like Stacy Abrams are saying something they are not.

seemed to have borne some fruit during this past general election (notably Biden/Harris). Not sure how many PACs are involved in these runoffs (although I know that at least Harrison's PAC is).

It's no different here. I'll add that the ads coming out of the GOP still look like they were made by a junior high AV club. They have a real cheap, shoddy air to them. Nothing but lies and fear-mongering. They are disgusting.

Ossoff and Warnock apparently want to "radically change" Georgia. To which i say, "Thank goodness! Come here next! We need all the help we can get!"

Kelly Loeffler makes my skin crawl.
