He would go on Fox News, say on Hannity, and debate. He doesn’t directly say they are wrong. Hannity would say the economy grew only X% in Obama’s 8 years. Gollsbee: it grew by much more after the recession ended in a year, but you are saying the bad results of the first year are because of Obama, ok. Maybe that’s true I guess. But of course no one, not even Trump fans would actually think Obama was to blame for the first year. Goolsbee never said they were wrong. He never got their defenses up by disagreeing with them. He always said well maybe you are right. But in a context where obviously they were not right. In some eastern martial arts you don’t push back against a charge. You just move to the side and direct the opponent’s momentum past you so he’s running into empty space. We don’t have to directly disagree. Well maybe you’re right. Maybe there is not a single example of paper ballot counts differing from machine tabulations because thousands of election officials in Republican districts were in on the fix,nreplaced the real paper ballots with phony ones. Ok, maybe you’re right about that. I find it hard to believe, but I can’t prove you’re wrong.
