Scathing article in right-wing local paper about Matt Gaetz

In a town full of turkeys, none of them gobbled like Gaetz for emotional validation from an insecure and unimpressive man who peaked personally and publicly in the 1980s — the humiliated outgoing president, Donald J. Trump.

But now, what becomes of a guy like Gaetz? What becomes of a shrill and unscrupulous congressman who has devoted so much squawking to demonizing the incoming president, lying about the election and promoting himself via podcasts and television appearances.

What becomes of a loud and loyal gobbler when the top turkey just got served up for dinner?

The point here is not to persuade. The elections are over.

The point, rather, is to document. To mark another plot point in the journey of a privileged politician and to point out the price of our electoral choices.

Indeed, Gaetz became the boy blessed by a president, an ambitious politician who sacrificed honesty, integrity and country in order to become a member of the flock of Trump's top turkeys.
