What would happen if the new AG goes all-out investigations of Trump and those complicit with him?

Why would that be bad for Democrats?

If there should have ever have been one. He didn't prevent Clinton, Biden, or Obama to be investigated. He called for their investigation. He even called for them to be jailed. He even sanctioned his AG to work with his own personal attorney in investigating a rival including an attempt to frame that rival. If an independent AG decides a US Attorney or a Special Counsel is needed to see that justice is done, then who are we to question that decision. In fact Biden shouldn't intervene in such a decision either way. That was the last administration.

The AG should recuse themself from such investigations.

If the FBI and lower levels of the DoJ pursue it, fine but it should not be driven by the White House or by the AG.

The AG needs to not intervene either for or against but to provide the resources necessary for his team to do the job objectively.

This is one of the many many things Trump doesn't understand about our government and our courts.

The AG as an appointee of Biden can be seen as biased and must therefore recuse himself from the investigation.

To put out the following message, loud and clear:

1. There is no Justice Department position for or against investigating any potential criminal activity of the previous administration.

2. That said- the Justice Department should fully support ANY US Attorney’s office who believes they may have a case of criminal wrong doing; and

3. The FBI is fully authorized to request any needed resources to fully investigate any alleged criminal activities; and

4. The political appointees hereby have a fully supportive policy of the work of the men and women of the Justice Department and all its resources, wherever that may lead.

Only by fully pursuing, and fully prosecuting any and all criminal behavior, can the full faith be restored in the American justice system.

I want to see “individual number one” fully prosecuted for his crimes, as I do for each and every criminal action of members of his staff/administration. This includes criminal prosecutions, from the repeated wonton violations of the Hatch Act, to all leads of bribery, tax evasion, and any other crimes determined by a Grand Jury to have occurred.

It is vital to the future of our nation to have all criminal proceedings to occur without political interference.

We voted for justice. No justice no peace no Democratic coalition in 2022 and democracy dies.

Criminals are deterred when they prosecuted—that’s a truth I hold to be self evident.
