The meatballs have been trashing Trubisky for 2 years, and they're finally catching on that the problem is a coach more concerned with his precious system than with maximizing his own players strengths.
They scored 30(!) today and lost a 10 point lead in Q4.
The threw 2 passes when all they needed to do was burn clock.
And, they started calling drop back plays when Trubisky's greatest skill is operating in the roll out.
The coaches & the defense choked that game away, but the fumble on a play that never should have called by a defender making a stellar effort and the meatballs will blame Mitch.

Aaron Rogers is the lone exception. But all other top QBs have a running game, a TE, WRs, and a good offensive line. Neither Trubisky nor Wentz have these things.

If you want your QB to do it all, you make it way easier on NFL defenses.

He has the best offensive line in all of football. A potential HOF tight end and WR. Oh, and great running backs as well. He's loaded.

But, unless they get big heat, who's going to play QB.
No matter the coach, Trubisky now wants out. Foles is never a long term answer.
And, seeing how the last 4 QBs were treated here, what free agent will come?
Team ownership, media & fans still have 1985 in their heads, thinking defense is all we need.
The vast majority are unaware that in 1985, the Bears were NUMBER 2 IN THE NFL IN POINTS SCORED.
They were #1 in time of possession.
They were #2 in drives of 65 yards or more resulting in a TD, and #1 when resulting in a score.
That team had a superb, balanced offense and THERE WAS NO SYSTEM.
System coaching is a weak substitute for personnel management & development.
But, here we are.

a cash cow, originally owned by a guy who started the league, making the team a hallowed legacy.

I'm 61 years old, and the BEARS have never had a World Class QB in my lifetime.
Most of the coaching has sucked.
