Former head of Israeli space security program says aliens exist, but they think humans aren't ready, so they only communicate with the governments of the US and Israel. Trump found out and was going to tell everyone, but they convinced him to keep quiet. https://jpost.com/omg/former-israeli-space-security-chief-says-aliens-exist-humanity-not-ready-651405

Many people have a lazy and incurious mind, and decline to do the research to educate themselves. An enlightened person would look at all the evidence and then attempt to draw the most logical conclusion. Some prefer to ignore evidence and form an opinion based on emotion, which causes them to lash out at others who don't share their ignorance.

So you choose to remain uninformed, or spend some time educating yourself. It is much easier now with the internet available. There is a lot of crap out there, but a discerning mind can filter out the truth. You can get a good start by acquainting yourself with the works of Richard Dolan at his website.

Seems like if they are here we would have some real proof by now. Camera's everywhere!
Hell, at least in the 60s we had fake films to look at.
If there was anything real it would be world wide news!
elevator
(415 posts)research out to people. That does not make him a hoaxer. His research is meticulous for the most part and he has been at it for many years.
Many of the films and photos from the 40's. 50's and 60's are some of the best evidence because they were taken before it was possible to alter them to any extent.
Many cases have attracted worldwide attention and many countries have been more open about revealing what they know than the US. Both Russian and American astronauts have said they saw craft they believed to be of extra-terrestrial origin.
Check out the photos taken by a farmer and his wife from McMinville Oregon in the fifties. Not proof, but hard to deny they are not any plane or balloon.
USALiberal
(10,877 posts)elevator
(415 posts)But, I don't believe videos or photos are proof. I guess you do since you keep saying there are cameras everywhere.
The eyewitness testimony by credible people for decades and actually extending back hundreds, if not thousands of years while still not "proof" is overwhelming evidence.
What could possibly constitute proof? Anything can be faked, just ask the Prez.

(10,877 posts) After Sheaffer sent his research and conclusions to William Hartmann, Hartmann withdrew his previous positive assessment of the case which had been forwarded to the Condon Committee.[14]
In April 2013, three researchers with IPACO posted two studies to their Web site titled "Back to McMinnville pictures" and "Evidence of a suspension thread."[15] They argued that the geometry of the photographs is most consistent with a small model with a hollow bottom hanging from a wire suspended from the power lines above, and they stated that they had detected the presence of a thread above the object. Their conclusion was that "the clear result of this study was that the McMinnville UFO was a model hanging from a thread."[16]

(10,877 posts)The Alien Agendas
A Speculative Analysis of Those Visiting Earth
Released in November 2020, this is a 245-page deep dive into the most likely scenario of the alien presence behind the UFO phenomenon. A powerfully written page-turning analysis, and another unique contribution by Richard Dolan.
Richard has analyzed the different alien types and agendas based on longstanding patterns observed by witnesses. This is both a careful review of the best evidence of human-alien interaction, and a bold speculation of who the aliens are and what they want.
Included are discussions of beings that look human but are still perceived as "alien," as well as reports of gray aliens, reptilians, insectoids, hybrids, and a range of others. Richard studies their likely psychology, society, technological capabilities, and goals.

Telling others to research means you don't really have a link, that's all.

(415 posts)have no idea about. I don't care whether you believe or not. I didn't say I believe in anything other than that is a lot of evidence of aerial objects with performance capabilities far beyond any known to exist on earth. The military takes these objects very seriously. Why should I waste time posting links to people that are too sure of what they "believe" than to accept evidence to the contrary. You remind me of a lot of fundamentalist christians.
And your opinion is just a belief, because you have no proof there are no UFOs from beyond our planet. And don't give me it is my place to prove it...nonsense. My belief is just about anything is possible.

(64,852 posts)Up to your post, I saw nobody suggesting life beyond this system is impossible, or even close to that.
The universe is so vast, and so old, I find it hard to believe there are not other advanced species. Call me an advocate of the Drake equation, if you'd like.
But, the likelihood of direct contact is extraordinarily low, even if it's simply this:
Why would a species advanced enough to master interstellar travel care one bit about our savage, child race?
From a parsec away, they'd be able to ID us as a waste of their time.
And, if they're a malevolent race, why wouldn't they just eradicate us from a couple hundred million miles out & repopulate the joint.
But, we get lizard people infiltrating and surreptitiously taking over.
Hence, I don't believe the Israeli rocket person. My interest in this specific topic right there.
Are there aliens? Much more likely than not.
Are they here? I say no way.

or motivations of a completely alien species.
Mostly I believe there are endless possibilities in an infinite universe. And while many things appear more likely than others, precluding anything is kinda silly to me because of our very limited knowledge.
Of course there are ways aliens could be here...you just lack the knowledge or imagination to know what they may be.

Give me a break. And by the way, I'm am an old time computer guy from almost day 1, so don't give me grief on what I believe and that is there is life out there...it's common sense, believe me. They are finding bacteria that can survive in conditions never imagined. How can then, you not believe? I do believe in science, and computers (I'm partial). I just think there's just as right to believe that there is something out there vs. there is a right to not believe, eh, 50%-50%, that is, it works both ways?
Silent3
(15,147 posts)...was understood. The existence of disease was not debated, just how disease spread.
And plenty of ideas (I won't abuse the word "theories" here) about how disease was spread turned out to be very, very wrong before a variety of transmission methods were discovered and proven, such as bacteria, viruses, genetic inheritance, etc.
Emphatically stating that you believe UFOs are intelligent alien visitors is not at all analogous to saying, "Yes, there is disease!". It's like fixating on "evil spirits" or "miasmas" as the cause of disease before better explanations were found.

Theres almost certainly other intelligent life out there. The probability of it finding us or us finding it is mathematically daunting and exists primarily as the stuff of daydreams. Pretending theres gonna be some ET Phone Home bullshit is stupid.
