Fresno County has 0% ICU beds, but my employer is still requiring me to report to work.

The county health department is still allowing the schools already open to remain open. This is a very POOR county in California. I guess the plan here is if you get sick donít bother going to the hospital, just die.

1. I have a friend in Sacramento

Her employer is still requiring everyone to come in to the office. Unless they get sick, then they can remote in. It's fucking nuts.

2. It's even more nuts when calosha released guidance saying

Employers should allow remote work unless impossible.

4. Fresno County is poor and has a lot of black and brown people. Still a significant amount of people

refusing to mask. The governor doesn't seem to care either.

7. Hard to avoid when your employer doesn't care if they kill you by forcing people to work.

8. Fortunately...

The two who are working are self employed, but their spouses have large families there.

9. This is why McConnel is hold up relief bills

Immunity for employers means they can force you to work on site. Of course many are doing so anyway.

10. I don't see the governor even trying to do anything.

They clearly donít care how many die. And not just covid patients.

11. Fresno County is mostly agricultural

But its a huge county. I lived in the far eastern edge in the mountains, next to Kings Canyon Nat'l Park. But you have San Joaquin Valley down below, with thousands of acres in fruit trees, assorted produce, and nuts. Mostly worked by Hispanic folks, mostly poor. I bet not many would ever go to a hospital.

12. I have lived here my entire life. One small city next door operates a school district of over

43,000 students. Fresno is the only level 1 trauma between the Bay Area and LA. Devin Nunes non representation. The sherif has come out on local news multiple times saying she will not enforce any of the laws including crowd and mask laws. Schools are open here and not going to close. There are A LOT of cases in the schools.

13. I bet there are

Nunez was always a joke, even before he got famous.

I was there for 12 years, and they were mostly miserable because of gawdawful neighbors. I became much too familiar with the nasty sheriff's dept.
