As I remember, the White House website stated that Melania had a degree in architecture... until the claim was questioned and that part of her CV mysteriously disappeared, bullshit that it was. Another misrepresentation: She claimed to be fluent in Italian, French, and German... yet when she was visiting French-speaking schoolchildren, the most she could manage was "Je m’appelle Melania" before lapsing into English for the rest of the visit. Similarly, no one has seen any evidence of her Italian or German.

Cheek skin is pulled up so that the outer edges of the eyes are lifted. Scars hidden under the hairline.
Can take years off a saggy face, but if overdone, gives the person a slanty eyed look. The squint is meant to look sexy. (Fails badly)

Dec 2020

That's not something we should be focused on. Really. A lot of women have posed nude. Men, too. It says nothing about their character unless we want it to.

That she didn't get a degree is also not, in and of itself, a shortcoming. Lots of people don't get college degrees for one reason or another. Some can't afford them, or circumstances arise that prevent them from attending college. Others find a path in life that brings success and happiness, but which never passes through a college classroom. College isn't necessarily for everyone.

That she, or those around her, claimed she got a college degree, when she apparently did not, is the problem. Not about Melania - as of January 21, she won't cross my mind again - but about those who belittle Dr. Biden for having gotten an advanced degree and sometimes having been addressed by the title appropriate to one holding it.

It's not the nudity. It's the hypocrisy.

While I have always been inclined to give Melania a pass for posing nude in the past, I don't give her the same leeway for that 'I really don't care, do you?' jacket. That was despicable and showed us that while she might be pleasant looking outside, she is evil and twisted inside.

As to DR Biden, that guy was totally out of line. She worked HARD for that degree - I know because I worked hard for my own master's degree. She has every right to insist on being called Dr. Biden.

In fact, kpete, I'm pretty effing tired of there being such a double standard. Democrats need to be playing some hardball here.

For example, if our guys win in GA, Biden needs to invoke the constitution and have VP Harris preside over the senate to ensure that legislation actually GETS to the floor for debate. That is hardball.

And having Biden remain aloof while the DoJ and the IRS investigate Trump and his disgusting administration, and the state Attorneys General pursue investigations with possible indictments and trials, is fine. That's hardball too.

And this new deal with Cuomo - if he did the sexual harassment, that is bad, but don't you think the timing is suspicious given that he just signed legislation in his state allowing Trump minions to be prosecuted even after a Trump pardon? I do. I think money may have changed hands...

Thank you for your thoughtful post. I never really cared about Melania's or anybody else's nudity. I have been much more upset about her "birtherism" comments and the hypocrisy of the so-called evangelicals. Hell, she can stay naked anywhere she wants and when she goes to Florida, she won't be so cold.

The racism that was aimed at Obama during his entire term made me sick. Obama was great. I didn't always agree with everything he did, but he had some truly huge accomplishments. And no indictments, and no convictions.

Plus, I sure felt safe when he was in the White House - like he had it all under control. I was proud to be an American when Obama interacted with other world leaders. The guy was great. A genuinely good, moral man who was an excellent president.

The fact he was an excellent president, though, was just too much for these racists, and that makes me so angry. Once, in early 2009 when I was in the office, I was talking about some of the good things Obama and the Democrats were doing to keep the world from going into a depression. A young colleague looked at me, crossed her arms over her chest and said, "Obama is a MESS."

Just like that.

He wasn't a mess. If you look objectively at his presidency, he advanced good, solid policies that actually improved things. But this young woman couldn't see beyond race. And he endured so many snubs. Michelle too.

And that 'birtherism' was just more racist bullshit. God, it makes me mad.

Sorry for the rant, but when I compare a stand-up guy like Obama to a dirtbag like Trump, it...well, you know.

On edit: corrected sentence about no indictments and no convictions. Obama had plenty of personal conviction, you see, but NO convictions!

She looks like she isn't "there". Cold. About one step colder than a barbie doll

... are posted frequently on social media. I don't recall any serious report on her nude pix career... it would be a good story. Maybe she can help young nudes break into the business and help with how to avoid pitfalls... or, if they want more serious sex work, guide them into that, too.

100. 3 things I'd like to know about Melania

1. Where's her portfolio from her modeling days in Paris and Milan? If she was employed as a model, surely she'd have one, even if it's mostly catalog shots.

2. How did she support herself after she moved to New York? She came on a tourist visa, so she couldn't get legitimate work. But yet, according to "The Art of Her Deal" she was able to have her own apartment and travel back and forth from Slovenia periodically to get her tourist visa renewed.

3. Donald Trump has said that they were introduced by Jeffery Epstein: how did Melania meet Epstein?

102. Worked it out!

I've worked out why the Melania/Donald liason irks me so much.

It's not the fact Melania is an immigrant, nor that she had an anchor baby and brought her parents over.

It's not the fact that in her youth she posed for soft porn pictures.
A lot of aspiring actresses do that to start off a much more serious career.

It's not the fact that she wanted to be a Princess and live in a castle, and used her natural talents to get there.

It's not the fact Trump dumped wife 1 for number 2, then moved on to Melania.

The thing that gets me riled up, is the simple fact that all this sleaze was presented as a 'so what, it is normal' by Trump and his followers. And accepted without a murmur.

Now I have to ask, in all seriousness, of all the previous presidents, are there any who were married 3 times before entering office, and the latest wife was an ex-stripper/soft porn queen?

So, not normal, but it was accepted by both sided as a 'yep, sure, no problems' type of thing well before the 2016 election?
