Bill Barr saw the writing on the wall.

He recognized that Donald Trump had lost the election.

And with it, he lost the opportunity to remain in power. Bill Barr wanted no part of that.

He had done many a dirty deed for Herr Trump but he was not going to jump off the cliff for him.

He had covered up the Mueller Report and saw to it that his best friends, like Roger Stone, were not imprisoned. But, this was a bridge too far.

He decided to slither out of the door, with hopes that he could escape scrutiny in history's verdict.

Barr is at least smart enough to recognize when the gig is up and he manufactured this Hunter Biden tax case and claimed to have kept it quiet during the election in order to raise some ire from Trump at the end and create some false distance for himself so as not to appear to go down with the ship hoping that maybe people will forget his well earned legacy as a complete Trump shill.

...with "spying" on his campaign? The hyped up "Obamagate" went nowhere.

That was the beginning of the end for Barr.

In Trump’s world. He has to have the final word so regardless of what Barr did for him Trump had to keep pushing him.

Basically 6 weeks are left. The next two weeks are going to be down time for a lot of people especially with teleworking like I am doing now.

There’s lots of speculation about Barr seeing something bad coming but he may just not wanted to have to go over existing situations and previous decisions with his replacement. He knows he tore the DOJ apart.

He provided the letter, but there was probably either a threat or a bribe in play. Perhaps he will be on the pardon list.
