Was it Biden's tough talk in yesterday's speech

that caused Republican hardliners like McConnell to finally acknowledge his win? Even Putin has wished him “every success”.

The way things were going, I’m not sure a solid electoral college win would have changed all that much, but maybe Joe’s tough talk was something those authoritarians could understand.

He stayed above the fray throughout, because he knew what the outcome would be. While everyone else on the right was wallowing in the mud, Joe was busy putting his team together, working for the country, doing the work.
Once the EC votes were cast, Joe comes out, chastised those who would have overthrown the election, and let the entire country know that HE was in charge. And most impressive of all, he put donald trump IN HIS PLACE.
Joe Biden put an end to the trump administration yesterday by castrating trump in front of the country.
It was a beautiful thing to see.

Also a man willing to roll up his sleeves & actually do the work of the office, not just reap the benefits of it.

He played it perfectly - staying out of the fray and the "No you didn't!" - "Yes I did!" stuff the IQ45 would have relished - looking "presidential" while BunkerBoy was looking like the spoiled little (?} brat that he is.
And he finally called out tRump AND the RepubliCons for the mess that they have made and are continuing to do even today.
True leadership - what a joy to behold.

At this point, it really would take Civil War II or the DOJ indicting Biden before January 20 to blow the whole thing up. I'm sure some hijinks will ensue on January 6 when Congress meets to accept the electors' votes, but I've been assured by many here that won't amount to anything.

As for Mitch, baaaaaaad optics that Putin got to Biden first after EC vote. Oh well!
