I also have a hazy recollection of someone claiming to have been bitten by a raccoon and then afterwards wondering what they should do about it.

DU: come for the political interplay, stay for the human interest stories!

Anyone remember the "Non Sequiter" thread? Someone accidentally posted on a thread in the Lounge with a post which had absolutely nothing to do with the topic. The poor poster was fairly new so she had no idea what was going to happen ...

Every post was a non sequiter to the one above, often laced with a pun or two.

It was pretty long.

Folks in the country where I was raised rung the heads off chickens but I'll be damned if I would try that with a buzzard.

Who the hell wants buzzard for Christmas dinner anyway?.....

Such a time of innocence.

It seems like people on DU could laugh freely, unaware of the seething bloated orange specter of drumpf lurking in the future to blot out merriment.

I hope such a time of laughter will come again, a time when we can laugh ourselves sick over buzzards and doormats and what-have-you.

I think this amazing thread deserves a permanent plaque.
