(34,661 posts)Most of Palms have fronds with browned edges. Sad,we are only allowed to water one day per week until March 1st.

(34,661 posts)developers thought the New Buyers from back East would like them. We have zero, but our Village has tons of these dirty suckers which are now Bark Beetle Infested. Our plan is to remove every Pine in the Community in the next four years.
Still, the rains here are more often than t-Rump telling the truth

(1,882 posts)We had pretty heavy, short-term rain in Centennial Hills. It was heavy for about 5 minutes, then tapered off to a gentle drizzle. I do hope this is a wet winter like we had a few years ago. Those desert blooms are spectacular after wet winters.

(34,661 posts)showing .17 inches of rain as of one minute ago. We will take it. Tomorrow sounds like a major wind event is on tap for most of the day.

(1,882 posts)thanks for the head's up. I'll have to make sure things are set so we can handle the winds. As you know, they can be bad here. but if there's a wind event then either it's a vegetarian chili cook-off or we're in for a major blow.

(34,661 posts)4.5inches for us. Death Valley has had higher annual rain fall totals than Vegas for the last five years.

(28,891 posts)we are NOT going to have a white Christmas this year......ITS GONNA BE BROWN.......my flock of 11 penguins are not even going to make a visit this year. I live in Southeastern Minnesota and its so brown and above normal temperatures that even if we did get snow it wouldnt stick because its to warm.

(34,661 posts)your corner of the State will get it's usual Ice Storm after Xmas. Kind of a annual event from my five decades of working rural Minny. Throw in one mega snow dump in March or first week of April.
