#Mitt4Independent - Support this hashtag!

There's another way to try and deprive the GOP a majority in the Senate...

My Tweet to Romney...

#Mitt4Independent

Trump's GOP has gone from principled & conservative to threat to our system. It won't change when he's gone.

Please consider becoming an independent to vote your principles, conscience and what's best for the US.

Rejoin when the GOP gets its act together.

4. on a mofe serious note even if he does not

the senate is tight. I believe we either win the two Georgia seats or lose them. If we lose them mcconnell will only be able to lose two senators on any vote. he used to have a 4 margin. Now of course he still would control what gets voted on but he we have to contend with the likes of romney, murkowsky and collins who sometimes act as a moderating force.

6. Romney, Murkowsky & Collins now have tremendous power to reform the GOP

Let's face it... if not for the fact that our antidemocratic system gives the GOP undeserved power... the GOP might never have become so toxic if not insane as they are if they actually had to win majority support.

Under such circumstances of a party going from toxic to insane... one safety valve besides elections is for someone in Congress to leave their party.

5. Anyone Remember Jim Jeffords???

In 2001 Jeffords was a GOP Senator from VT who left the GOP to caucus with the Dems.

8. If Romney caucused with the Democrats....

becoming the most conservative Democratic/I member and supporting centrist rather than progressive policies, people here would be ranting that the Democrats were "selling out".

9. Give Me A Break

What's the bigger benefit here... depriving Moscow Mitch of a majority, or having an independent who MAY caucus with the Dems but is essentially still a conservative?

Look... we have an insane dysfunctional and antidemocratic system. Until it's EVER reformed... we're left with bad choices.

So what's yours?

10. #Collins4Independent

My Tweet to Susan Collins..

McConnel's 4 month refusal to pass a needed Stimulus is inexcusable. Why do you tolerate a party that has contempt of America and is now a danger to the Republic?

The GOP won't reform until the few sane in the GOP leave it.

Follow Jim Jeffords example.
