Pentagon in shock as Trump's new defense chief orders a department-wide halt to cooperation with...

...Biden’s transition team

Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller has ordered the Pentagon to “halt cooperation with the transition of President-elect Biden” — a move that has Defense Department officials baffled.

“A top Biden official was unaware of the directive. Administration officials left open the possibility cooperation would resume after a holiday pause. The officials were unsure what prompted Miller’s action, or whether President Trump approved,” Axios reported.
----
“Blocking the transition could have slowed down vaccine rollout. But they didn’t care,” the group said in a tweet. “Pausing Pentagon cooperation with the transition could put people in danger. But they don’t care.”

We all need to wake up to the fact that these people are the sworn enemies of democracy. And should be treated as such. Not congress people or senators. Sworn enemies.

At this point it seems a long ways away but it will happen.
Then the problem will be to deal with the millions of his voters who have bought his lies and propaganda. I personally know some of them very well. They're not going to change their minds. This administration completed the job of reprogramming their brains over the last 4 years - the job that Fox, Limbaugh, Carlson and televangelists began some time ago.

Here's what would happen, any foreign army headed towards the US would be destroyed long before they reached US shores, or even airspace.

The US military will not stand by and let foreign troops invade, much less occupy, America, it's ridiculous to think otherwise.

Just my suspicion. But if it’s the operative mentality here, I say FUCK THAT SHIT.

trump has used intimidation and his dearest love (DOMINANCE, DAMMIT!!!) to force his will on others. When it was just bullying and short-sheeting contractors and subcontractors on his damn hotel projects or creditors he can’t pay or simply doesn’t want to/doesn’t think he should have to, that’s what’s always worked before.

He’s not used to anyone saying “NO” to him. Everybody/Everything has always bowed to him, accommodated him/given him what he demanded. Until now.

Now, he faces an absolute. Now he faces something he can’t bully or threaten or make deals for or lie and distort his way out of. The calendar says he’s OVER AND OUT at NOON ON JANUARY 20th. And there is NOTHING - repeat - NOTHING - he can do to change that or stop it or even delay it.

For the first time, he’s facing something that is WAY bigger than he is, and that he can’t manipulate or bend to his will, and which he can do NOTHING to change.

And let me tell ya - he does NOT like being put into a position of helplessness.

Just because its never happened here, does not mean it won't. After 2016, and since, how can anyone be so sure?

McEnany scares me with how confident she seemed about Trump's second term. And a few others, like Pompeo.

For the sake of argument, lets say he gets enough Trump supporting generals to obey the order. Promised to have a privileged position in the new Trump Gilead States of America. And his SCOTUS even comes through for him, after they realize the opportunity.

That Mitch, Lindsey, all the GOP leadership sees this is the "now or never" moment. Maybe they have crimes that will be exposed under a Biden administration. Even treasonous crimes working with Russia. So much so that they are willing to go "all in".

All it would take ls a handful of influential power laden officials, just as all it took was one principled general to squash a coup attempt ie Gen. Smedley Butler back in 1933.

I think many would be out on the streets. But whatever violence, property damage occurs, would be highlighted in order to get more public sympathy to quell the "riots". Republicans have set up that narrative already. And if you thought the Proud Boys, and the other White supremacists, and militias were bold now, just wait until they are presented with the call to arms by THEIR President, the legitimate President, to defend the streets from wild crazy communist AntiFa terrorists?

https://www.businessinsider.nl/trumps-new-defense-secretary-has-reportedly-ordered-the-pentagon-to-halt-biden-transition-cooperation/

Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller has ordered the Pentagon to halt cooperation with the Biden transition team, Axios reported Friday.
A Pentagon official said that the reason was that the staff involved in the transition is “overwhelmed.”
The start of the transition was delayed, limiting the time to complete necessary tasks, and the senior Pentagon leader in charge of the transition was installed after a purge of the department’s civilian leadership and has been on the job a little over a month.
Cooperation will likely restart sometime after the holidays, a Pentagon official told Axios.

They seemingly can't move much mail, everything I've mailed sits for 7-10 days going nowhere. Have they been hacked? Because they're updating tracking info infrequently.

Contrary to this Pentagon spin, there was NOTHING routine about this decision. Senior Trump officials have been furious at the Biden team, privately blaming them for leaks, and this decision was discussed last night with the White House.

But what can happen is isolating them, like a cyst: assign them to some division or project in separate facilities with no access nor ability to affect real information and policy. And then, gosh, that project gets zeroed out of the budget as a cost-cutting measure and they have to move on.
