(7,580 posts)just leave your conspiracies and ignorance at the State Line. If your planning on coming here to act like an Asshole - we have plenty and they are on their way out. The crazy white folks in Texas day's are numbered - come here and bring your progressive attitudes with you.

(14,854 posts)That's where the job sent me the first time, and where it sent my husband the second time. Also, my experience was that we didn't actually pay noticeably less in taxes in Texas than we do now, in a state with a reputation for high taxes. When all the various state and local taxes were added up, it ended up being pretty much a wash.

Not Ohio. Iowa. I O W A. Iowa.
There aint no such state as Iowa, declared the obvious fourth grade dropout.
In fairness, when I had her bring into the call the VP in charge of my division, he did a splendid job of giving her an impromptu geography lesson.

(935 posts)In Texas, you don't register with a party. You just register to vote. You can vote only in one primary per election, but even if you vote in a particular party's primary, you are not registered as a party member. You are only prevented to from voting in another party's election during that one election cycle.
