Imagine if your words could move markets and start wars

Just your words.

Maybe even just an offhand comment, or something said hastily.

How verbally aggressive would you be?

3. If I had even a hint of that power

my words would be very measured indeed. My favorite phrase regarding our country is "We have to learn to stop pissing in other peoples sandbox". I think that is an accurate description as to how we've dealt with the world. Most of the problems we have to deal with in the world can be traced to our previous interference and covert influence in other nations affairs.
It's time we stopped buying the myth of "American Exceptionalism" and accept that we all live on this earth as equals, or at least we should.

4. I'm a poet and translator

and prime mover of all good novelists etc. is cold rage. Unlike other animals, we don't just physically shake fear of, we nurture it and transform it into complex forms of art, including markets and wars.

Words are never just "my" words, language is both social and self-expression of the ecosystem. Language uses individual as much or more than individual uses language.

glued together by excretion
