If he pardons Maxwell and his followers and Republicans in Congress do not object to the pardon, they have lost any future moral high ground they could take in the future on any issue, including abortion.

Republican support for Trump, especially from so-called Christians has proven that the political right is amoral. They are not the party of family values. They are not patriots. They are only interested in raw political power.
