With Josh Hawley going all fascistic coup attempt – when he knows it is a complete bollocks, the republican party is officially dead, even if it manages to pull itself along like a zombie with its legs chopped off, from the walking dead, for the foreseeable. Hawley by stating that he's going to be the one to try and stop the democratic election of President-elect Joe Biden when it comes times for the Electoral College to finalize the 2020 election, has put the final nail in the coffin of any legitimacy the party thought they might still be able to invoke. As he positions himself as a post Trump presidential candidate of the future, Hawley is obviously setting the scene for challenging any future election result if he loses, even as he knows his attempt this time round will fail bigly… But surprise, surprise – fascists hate democracy.

I have thoughts on this. You see we all decry the idea of what if another Trump comes along but with smarts to make any further coup attempt not only look more reasonable, but have a greater likelihood of success, but that ignores one vital piece of the post Trump era republican electorate puzzle. Why do we assume that the cult wants or would vote for someone with ‘smarts’ – that which is the very thing they despise? Why would the morons who still cling to idea that Trump won even in the face of all evidence to the contrary, want to vote for someone with a bigger brain than that of the idiot in chief? After all the fact that he lacks any policy ideas and is unintelligible and inarticulate has never been a weak point for Trump - his base does not love him despite that, but because of it. All those would-be democracy destroyers – like Hawley [coming out of the gate with indecent haste] - that supposedly articulate Trumps positions better than he does, and therefore can appeal to his base 2024 is a lot of nonsense. The cult love Trump because he's just as crass, senseless, empathy free, intolerant, and insufferable as they are – a slicker fascist is unlikely to cut it with this crowd and ergo Hawley should not assume that the cult will see him as Trump version two, after all Trump deliberately courted the people that are least likely to ever turn back to the ‘elites’ in any future election – and that is all the republicans have.
