Looking at the AJC runoff update site - we're not going to capture both seats.

Maybe Warnock wins, but Ossoff won't. We're going to have to hope that McConnell's health plunges, and fast. Otherwise it's roadblocks and a grim as hell slog to the 2022 midterms.

But it is not. Looking good for both and I think we are assured of Warnock’s win.

Loeffler had shown herself to be an unplesant reactionary carpetbagger, and Warnock was well respected by everyone but the wingnut racists and evangelicals.

Perdue is a good old boy, allbeit of the Country Club. GOP voters might be willing to hold their noses and vote for him either to ensure there's opposition to the Socialist Democrats or because they can't get themselves to vote for a Jew.

If Ossoff wins, it's a blow to the good old boy system.

I'll take them with either. Hell, you could spread just about anything on those words and I'd eat them happily if I could. I'm just a pessimist about elections.

Here's the story right now:

1. Black turnout looks, frankly, phenomenal.
2. Perdue/Loeffler are approaching Trump %s of the vote in a lot of deep red rural counties, but turnout there isn't anything special.
3. It's getting harder to see a path for either R, but esp. Loeffler.

Let the count be finished...and then the three recounts...and the 64 court cases...and then we'll see where we are. Here's to hope!

All the early reports indicate two, unquestionable Democratic victories today. This could change, but the odds highly favor both Democrats at this point.
