As President of the Senate with a tie-breaking vote, Harris will become incredibly powerful

She will also get notoriously demonized, maybe worse that Hillary and Pelosi.

Something that I noticed about her, and that I find very compelling is her sense of happiness and joy, and just downright good humor. I so appreciate the joy that she exudes. One of the 6 perfections of a Boddhisattva is joyous endeavor. That's how she appears to me.

And her vote is predetermined. Just like any VP before her, when there is a tie she will vote as the White House has instructed her to vote.

Having to be available to go to the Senate and break ties may restrict her ability to do other things for the administration.

IIRC, Obama gave Biden a number of non-Senate responsibilities. Biden could also give Harris a portfolio of important responsibilities.

Also, if Harris becomes President, can she also vote as President of the Senate to break a tie in the vote to appoint a successor Vice President?

Or does the Senate become deadlocked as soon as she becomes President?
