I went to protest at W's coronation

And the group of protesters that I joined (amongst others) were not allowed anywhere near the parade route. We were blocked off around K street, penned in. If anyone tried to dart around the barricades, they got unceremoniously tossed to the asphalt by the police. Helicopters circled overhead keeping track of every movement. I can't believe they didn't see this coming today and were so unprepared.

We were all super-pissed at the actual theft of an election, but no one did anything super-crazy.

I remember dreaming about storming the Supreme Court---but there's a difference between being upset/enraged and actually doing something crazy.

She and my son were there for the pomp and circumstance. He said his favorite part was the protesters. Nice try though, thanks.
